What else
you’ll be doing:
In
addition to padding your resume and increasing your professional value,
you’ll be challenged in a high transaction shop where data is key and
DBA’s are Kings. You’ll
manage existing databases and oversee database requests & code
deployment to production, development and QA environments.
Sure this is a 24X7 shop and on-call support rotation will be a part
of your duties, but being the one in need is very cool.
Your
duties may also include: Administration
of transactional replication; Support and Development of SSIS packages;
ensuring SQL service
availability; database integrity & recoverability; log shipping;
database performance & efficiency; and, service performance monitoring
& reporting.

Compensation
& Benefits:
Compensation is excellent with a starting base salary up to $100k - based
on experience, qualifications and potential.

What you’ll
need:
Required
Skills:

5-7
years SQL Server database administration - development & production
-
TSQL
skills, including triggers and stored procedures
-
Logical
& physical design database design
-
Database
Performance Tuning & Monitoring
-
Creation
& maintenance of databases—including re-indexing and
reorganization automation
-
SSIS
& error handling – initial
& update - including control & QA procedures
-
SQL
Query optimization – consulting with application developers &
end-users
-
Backup
& recovery operations
-
Development
of data load processes & database extracts
-
Change
management –ensure all changes are tested, communicated, approved
& documented
-
Creation
and maintenance of documentation including data dictionary
-
Installation
and maintenance of DBMS software and connectivity to client tools
-
Data
Management – participate in corporate standards development and data
quality studies

Demonstrated
communication skills and leadership ability are required

Good
analytical & troubleshooting skills

Demonstrated
project management skills

Able
to participate in 24x7 on-call rotation
