Global CRM Company in NW Dallas
Development
Manager
.Net,
PHP, Linux (LAMP)
Own
the Architecture
This is a unique career
opportunity to step right into the Development
Manager role and oversee multiple technology platform projects with a very
talented group of developers primarily responsible for the companies PHP,
email and .Net solutions. With
this highly recognized & respected Global Customer Relationship
Management (CRM) & Marketing firm, you’ll be the overall technical
lead owning the architecture of custom-developed solutions & providing
direction while making design, development and management-level decisions
about the product and staff supported.
If
you like interacting with multiple technologies, this is for you.
You'll be guiding teams to work on applications built in everything
our clients have to offer - from the newest .NET frameworks to VB6, ASP
classic and WinForms.
The key to the position is that you'll be splitting your time between the
.NET maintenance team and the PHP / Linux group.
Ideally, your responsibilities will be split between 75% management
and 25% development. However,
that could very easily sway to 50% of each, or even 100% management at
times. You’ll be
interacting with both the .NET and LAMP groups so you must have a working
understanding of both sides of the technology as is previous lead /
management experience.
What
else you’ll be doing:
This is a key role with a company made up of great people and great
technology-based solutions for well-known clients.
As the Development Manager, you’ll also maintain
the standards & methodologies and will be key in client interactions
with ultimate responsibility for scoping and delivery of both managed and
unmanaged solutions.
Even
though you're a born Manager, you still like doing some coding &
development work from time to time to
keep your skills current and know what you're managing. This role is a
perfect fit! While it
won't lean toward the heavier development side,
you may have to step back into the code from time to time
- likely .Net code with Visual Studio.
This
environment is not heavily Linux based and there is a Systems Administration
team on board so Linux won't be a large component of your role, but you
still need to know how to walk around Linux comfortably.
What
else is in it for you?
Besides
great compensation and exceptional benefits with a highly respected &
stable global company, the people are some of the best around – youthful,
talented, and energetic types obsessed with what they do. “It
is simply a great work atmosphere and community.” Your input here is
valued to help facilitate cultural change, encourage innovation and become
more progressive in solutions to problems and services to clients.
In other words, you’ll have significant say in future systems and
policies; aka… “We value your
ideas & input!”
Now,
add the benefits and features of a campus-like work facility with a 'Career
Obsessed' attitude & you can see why this could very well be the last
employer you’ll have.
Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation
is excellent with a starting base salary up to $100k - based on experience,
qualifications and potential. Health
benefits are considered ‘world-class’.
What
you’ll need:
Requirements:
Minimum
of 5 years overall IT experience is required with some portion of it having
been spent in a lead or management capacity.
You will be managing, guiding, and working with both the .NET and PHP
/ Linux teams, so a development background is necessary, preferably using
these technologies. Your
technology knowledge must be very well rounded as you will be responsible
for not only the newest frameworks of .NET, but older versions, and possibly
WinForms and VB6. You may have
to step back into the code from time to time as well, so your development
experience must be recent, if not current.
You'll need a solid
understanding of the LAMP stack with emphasis on PHP and Linux.
You may be writing some .NET code every now & then so a working
knowledge of Visual Studio is necessary as well.
Beyond
the technical & managerial experience, you’ll need team building &
consulting skills, verbal & written communication skills and strong
leadership & influencing skills.
